Out with the old and in with the New

2009 is almost over. A new year brings fresh starts and new resolutions. I try not to make resolutions because I never keep them so I am calling them something else this year in hopes that they stick. They are life changes. I'm getting rid of the garbage, reorganizing all parts of my life. 2010 is going to be a great year.

Someone once told me that how you spend New Year's eve is how you will spend the rest of the year. So for 2010 I want to be surrounded by friends and family. That's what we are doing tonight - spending the evening with Terry's family - his Mom and stepdad, his brother Steven and wife Joelene along with their kids Breana and Sierra. I'm proud to call them friends as well as family.

Here is my one last LO I have done in 2009 and used PSE 8. This is our friend Lynn when we went sledding at the frozen pond by our house. She is an absolute riot and spending time with her is guaranteed giggles.

New inspiration

Christmas came and went with a whirlwind. Presents that took weeks to think of, purchase, wrap and put under the tree where opened in moments. Dinner which took most of the day to cook was enjoyed and eaten in 30 minutes (really there was only 3 of us how much conversation could there be after spending all day together! LOL)

Well I got a great gift from my hubby - Photoshop Elements 8. So now I have been trying digital scrapbooking and have been loving it. I think I might be able to get caught up on Marcus' life since he is now 8 years old and I have only done his first year of life.

Here's some layouts I did with my new program. They are simple but I'm learning from scratch and think they aren't too bad considering I've only worked with the program for 4 days.

Latest card

Last week I got to spend a couple days at home with a sick child that shared the illness as well. I got to scrap a little though and organize my scrapbook supplies as well as surf the internet for many many amazing ideas.
